Since @cheshire_ tagged me to do this. Here is mine.
1. How was your Thanksgiving and what are you thankful for?
It was decent, visited with and had dinner with my extended family.
I'm thankful for my health, my family, and my friends.
2. Who's putting up a Christmas tree 🎄?
Already put mine up. Just put the bubble lights on it. I'm pretty minimalist with the decor on these.
3. Do you have any family tradition for Thanksgiving and Christmas?
Personally I'll celebrate both traditional and orthodox Christmas; it's not all over on the 26th of December. My family gets together for both holidays at least once together. My brothers and I have been trying to come up with some new ideas and new things that could become tradition.
4. Your best advice?
Live for today, yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come.
5. Do you have any holiday charities you donate to?
None this year as of this writing. I've donated to food banks in the past.
6. Your favorite Christmas song?
Generally I prefer the older Christmas music over the modern Hallmark Hell rubbish I get stuck hearing whenever I go somewhere; I suffered enough of that working retail years ago. 🤮🤮🤮 If I had to pick one, it would be "Wonderful Christmastime", because everyone hates it. 🤣🤣🤣
7. Your best Christmas present, your choices given or received?
Hard to say really, I've liked everything I've ever gotten for Christmas.
8. Do you have your Christmas shopping done?
Nope. Been rather busy lately, but will get it done soon.
9. Fun question something you enjoy during the Holidays?
Getting together with people I haven't seen in a long time.
10. Do you have plans for New Years eve?
Outside of laughing at everyone shivering their tails off in Times Square, nothing yet. I haven't been to a NYE party in forever.
11. Your goals for the new year 2024?
Just keep living the dream really.
12. Your New Years resolution?
I don't do New Years resolutions.
13. Your favorite hobbies?
Discovering new music. I used to be a bit of a roller-coaster freak, but haven't indulged in over 5 years.
14. Do you do Christmas cards?
Nope, I've received a few, but never got into exchanging them.
15. Share anything you want from your past holiday's?
Back when I was a kid, our family got together at my grandparents house. My grandfather would get a roaring fire going in the fireplace, and all of us kids would be so wired on caffeine and sugar that we'd be racing all over the house. Coming from an Italian family, our holiday gatherings were rather huge: as many as 80-100 people in the house (yes really!) Dinner was all homemade Italian food: pastas with oily rich sauce, pizza fritta (deep fried dough) just for starters; to say nothing of the desserts to be enjoyed with espresso. Someone would dress up as Santa Claus to bring some gifts for the kids. You had to be there, but it was some of the funnest, happiest times I had as a kid.
