At the moment, I'm about as livid as I can possibly imagine myself. Our government is the sickest beast in the world. I'm watching as people are starving and dehydrating in the aftermath of the hurricane, then I'm listening to Scott McClellan speak about the "zero tolerance" for looting, even for food and water because "supplies are being made available to them". So I guess those people who starved or dehydrated were just too stupid to accept the supplies? Oh yeah, and why don't you deny the supplies and manpower and vehicles that Canada offered to you. Go ahead and deny them access to the U.S. Perhaps its better that way, you know, cause they could be terrorists disguised as relief workers.
And if I hear Bush personally say that "Flood control has been a priority of this administration from day one." (McClellan), I hope America doesn't show its total lack of any intelligence and accept that bullshit for what it is. "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." That is what Bush said today. So apparently those down in LA who were requesting a lot of money, that was sent to Iraq after being slashed from their funds, for levee work, must all be involved in a big conspiracy to make the administation look bad.
And how dare this administration scold reporters asking questions about the lack of funding for the levees. This isn't a question of partisan politics, this is a question of policy. It just so happens that it was this administration's policies that are being called into question. Huh, so since you guys fucked up, let's not point fingers at you?
How many mistakes can the leaders of our country make, before the American public realize that their leaders are supposed to have some idea of what they are doing. It's like going in for surgery, and asking a nurse to do the surgery instead of the doctor. Apparently a huge number of American's are dumb enough to opt for the nurse.
I'm so fucking livid right now, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Complete and total disregard for anything but themselves. What great leaders that quality makes.
I can no longer tell if I'm crying for those down in LA, or if these are tears of rage. Well, at least the focus is off the Iraq war, being that August was the highest death rate since January for U.S. troops. And it will distract for "no privacy" Roberts SCOTUS hearings. And it will also make Rovegate barely in view. Perhaps this will bring up concern over editing science to ignore global warming. Must be a scam, legitimate scientists came up with it.
Fuck the human race, we all deserve to die. Jesus, now I sound like a terrorist.
