So poker last night went well. We had 8 people playing, and I ended up taking second place. There was no way I was going to take first place and win the pot, but its nice coming in second and walking away with what I put in. Matt was happy about his nice score.
I think I'm going to have to pay a visit to the doctor soon. I've been having a huge amount of acid reflux recently, and I think its the effect of my desire to get in shape. Exercising regularly has boosted my metabolism, creating the super acid that dissolves all things, including my stomach lining. I'm going to have to take care of it before it puts a hole in my stomach, or throat. Not fun. It shouldn't be too bad at the doctor's office though, he'll most likely prescribe me some super antacid. We'll see, but I have hope that my life can get better, even if it is through a doctor.
Going to be watching The Smartest Men in the Room tonight over at my buddy Peter's place. It'll be interesting to find out how much of the Enron scandal made it past me without even noticing. We'll be having some great beers that I'll be picking up, and then Peter's going to make some type of seafood steaks on the grill, along with some grilled corn on the cob, and most likely some other various bits and goodies. God I love the summer and using a grill. And its a charcoal, not a gas, as gas grills aren't really grilling in my opinion. You can taste the propane, no matter what Hank on King of the Hill says, I tell you what!
I was listening to Ben Folds today while in the shower. I'm just constantly stunned by the brilliance of his work. His voice isn't something spectacular, but its his piano skills and ingenuity that are just amazing. I'm still dying to hear a metal band cover the Narcolepsy song, which I always thought would be very interesting as a metal song. It just screams to be done.
Nothing more to say, lots more to do.
