I've been hanging out with a friend lately who is much like myself. Its interesting to find people who share many traits with me. Its also interesting to see that they struggle just as much as I do in the socialization catergory. Poor socially retarded fools. I love them though, people I can only talk to because I can't talk to most people.
I'm continuing to do well at getting myself in shape. The other day I popped on the scale and found that I'm under 160 now. I'm almost at the same weight I was in high school. Crazy. It feels good, and I had to take my pants in and have them tailored. That was an expensive venture, but today I'm wearing pants that aren't all bunched up around the waist anymore, so I'd have to say its well worth it. Hurrah!
I read, in part, Souter's decision on the Fourth Amendment matter before the court. The most striking part of it was the section where Souter criticized Robert's dissent opinion. Robert's comment in his writing scared me considerably. Another man is on the Court who would take away our civil liberties. "The centuries of special protection for the privacy of the home are over." He recognizes the established principle and attempts to tear it down in one fell swoop. Those who aren't scared, should be. Ours used to be a land one of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I guess that only matters when you aren't a nation of cowards. For all the bravado our nation tends to put forth, they are cowards, every single one.
I am a terrorist sympathizer. I am proud of this fact. Every true American is as well. Anyone who claims they aren't don't understand who founded America. The Boston Tea Party? Anyone think that counts as an act of terrorism? Of course it does. The difference in what I sympathize with is the fact that nobody was hurt, except monitarily speaking. Terrorism is good when used appropriately. When you kill innocent life, its a horrible thing, but to deny terrorism has any good in it is denying your heritage.
I'm done ranting.
