You want the sun to shine
You want the stars in the sky
Not me I'm doing fine
Living just to get by

I think I really must be a hippy at heart. I dont think its a bad thing. So many people go out and are intent on making money so they can be wealthy and have plenty of toys and such. I dont need that. I have never wanted to be famous...I mean sure, every little girl dreams about it. And jokes are made about it. But I dont need it. I dont want to be famous. I just want to be happy. I will be content to just get by. I want to do what I love, my passion. Have a few things to keep me content, but really I dont need loads of money or any spectacular toys. I dont want a nice car. I want a decent car that is economical. I would like to have a house...but I dont need a mansion. Just something small and quaint.
I appreciate the simple things in life and I really dont think that people do that enough. When was the last time that you went out and enjoyed the sunset?
On Friday night I was driving down the street with Posh and d20. I saw some people doing poi in the park. After I dropped the two of them off I went back to the park and watched the three girls spinning poi and staff. It was beautiful. To see people doing that with the snow all around, hearing the fire and the speed of the balls...it was truely beautiful. I cannot wait to learn how to do it...to be able to make something so beautiful. I was truely happy sitting there.
I wish people would appreciate the simple things more. Some people laugh at me because I think my nephew is so cute, or when I get excited over beautiful clouds or sitting at home painting my nails...but I truely love the simple things in life. I think it helps me appreciate being alive. And that is definately something not appreciated enough.
I dont know why I am rambling about this. But I think, the next time you go out to a bar or to party with your friends or anything like that...leave for a bit and go and watch the sunset. And appreciate it for what it is...beautiful, pure and alive.
