It is so nice to be passionate about something again. In the past few days I have shot an entire roll of film every day. I'm just shooting the shit, but still, it is exciting. And I know I am a beginner and all, very much so a beginner, but I dont think the stuff is too bad. I can see the potential in myself to get good at this. Really good..but maybe I am biased becuase it is me. Who knows?!?!? I am really excited for Posh to teach me more when she comes out here...she is a fantastic photographer...just go look at her stuff.....learning from the best is definately a good way to go! I am posting a few pics that I took with my camera when I was just learning to use it...they arent really great or anything, I just want to put them up anyway. They are just of me and RFB...he took the ones of me...still fun though. Hopefully I will be able to post more the better I get...yeah..can you tell I am a wee bit excited about this? I dont expect anyone to be wowed by my work, but I think it will be good to see a progression, for myself at least. So yeah, I am going to shut up and scan some pics now.....

are you thinking about taking classes at ouc? they have a decent photography program, and they do a lot with the art galleries in ktown to get students work out there.
you were asking about cameras in the photography group, and i too would recommend a pentax k1000. it's what i started on. camera expert downtown is a really good resource. thier used equipment is in good shape, and they are willing to take the time to show you how everything works, explain to you about shutter speed and depth of field, and you can feel free to go back there again and again just for help. and i'm not just saying this 'cuz i worked there! just ask for toshie, he's the used equipment guy.
i don't understand how you can want to move to toronto if you hate vancouver. do you like the concrete jungle? do you love clouds of yellow smog? very poor air quality? no mountains? i think you need to reevaluate your judgement of cities.
