evening all - and welcome to your weekly ama update.
life continues to roll on and on and on.
and well me? i'm just here for the ride :
speaking of rides -- i finally got my ass back into the gym today.
thank christ. it's been far too long. i got all busy. and then got out of the habit of going.
i did 30 mins on the eliptical, 15 mins of rowing and 15 mins on the treadmill.
it felt amazing. so as a treat, i made myself a nice big steak with a delicious salad.
i feel like i'm so outta the music loop lately.
i downloaded the following albums:
->natalie portman's shaved head (Emma ... i thank you for that suggestion!!)
->lady gaga
->phoenix
->peaches
i've been told i should listen to:
->grizzly bear
->crystal antlers
but does anyone else have other recommendations.

speaking of music, i was one of 400 lucky souls who got to see Dead Weather play a special surprise / secret show @ the Horseshoe.
for those that don't know - Dead Weather is a super group of sorts --
Jack White from the White Stripes
Alison Mosshart (of The Kills)
guitarist Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age)
bassist Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes)
holy FUCK. it was the most amazing show ever.
i feel so lucky to have seen the show. i went by myself and lined up at 11:30am on saturday.
then had to go back at 7:30PM on saturday to line up again.
and i met some amazing people, which ended up in me meeting ben rayner of the toronto star, the band's PR person, the band's crew, a rep from arts & crafts and all these like super elite.
the band et crew ended up at bovine and we hardcore drank til 245am.
great night esp. being myself.

i just wanted a nap.
most importantly, i wanted to try the 1,000 tastes of toronto.
which was AMAZING.
mmmm
altho people were bitchy. i literally saw this lady fight another person for a piece of free President's Choice appetizer Indian chicken. it was ridic.

'Twas most fun to play with those hats - I just wish that one of us took a picture of you in that turban-type thing, haha.
Gala is going to be off the charts this year. Can't wait.
