thank you everyone for making me feel so damn special on my birthday.



i turned the big 2-5.
i'm getting sooo old. (ha!)
but i gotta say, i had a wicked birthday.
first of all, my party on september 27 was awesome.... besides having to share it with another promoter. (long story, don't ask).
before the party - radiofrank took me out to sneaky dee's for dinner. it was awesome.
then so many of my friends came out for my bday party. unfortunately, no photos were taken.
for my ACTUAL birthday, my work gave me the day off.
i slept in and stayed in my PJs til 3pm. then i treated myself to a manicure / pedicure.
from there - i waited for peter to get home ... and we went to sneaky dee's for half price fajitas and beer. (can you tell i love mexican food?)
so you know what... my birthday was chillax and AWESOME.

besides that life is all kinds of GOOD.
i had a lot of the marketing committee (from the Parkdale BIA aka my job) come up to me the week before Nuit Blanche and tell me how impressed they were with me and thanking me for all my hard work.
telling me that they are surprised i've been able to get everything done in this short period of time and how well i've handled all the stress.
it feels nice to be recognized.

so i went for my 2nd interview at health force ontario.
it's hard to say how it went - because they just asked me all the same questions as last time.
and my interview was between the girl i had my telephone interview with and 2 other people.
before i left, they asked me to send over my references - so i guess that's a good sign.
plus, i had to write a 2 pg communications plan. which at first kind of freaked me out. but i think i came up with some really neat and innovative ideas that i don't believe they have used.

also, i had an interview @ the ontario library association. they e-mailed me the other day and they want me to come in for a 2nd interview asap.
i went for the 2nd interview at the ontario library association and it went REALLY well.
i ended up being there for almost 2 hrs.
they asked for my references and told me that i would find out on tuesday. it just depending on how long it took my references to get back to them.
then on friday ... my references got in touch with me and apparently the OLA called them and were checking my references.
so i'm ASSUMING i'll be getting a job offer next week. YESH.

i have been motherfucking ADDICTED to Indian and West Indian food lately.
i just had the most delicious saag paneer roti for lunch from Mother India here in Parkdale.
i'm not even finished the thing and i'm beyond full.

speaking of Parkdale and Roti ...
Bacchus Roti Shop (across from my office) is having a Restaurant Makeover done.
all week i've been seeing Igor, Meredith and Brad Long.
i'm really excited to see the new shop because Bacchus' has the most AMAZING roti.
i saw the new shop and while it looks GOOD .... Dick (Bacchus, the owner) is not impressed.
i would disclose all the shittiness but Dick signed a confidentiality agreement and i don't wanna get him in trouble.
