Was on phone with a friend today when she said a friend of her's was in hospital for flu like symptoms.
Asked how a person could get so far with flu and not end up with pneumonia or at least taking care of herself.
She said well her dad was having a triple bypass and so she was stressed and had to fly to see him but ended up in same hospital as him and unable to see him.
My friend proceeded to call her friend a total dumb shit and say but she doesn't have the flu. I was like okay...so what is it. The response tot his question was way more shocking than i would have thought.
she explained that her friend loved this one type of cookie and ate them all the time. It has peanut butter in it and yes is on the recall list. When my friend advised the person of this she said " well i love them and they have never hurt me yet so I am going to keep eating them."
And she is in hospital with flu like symptoms which or more than likely Salmonella but refuses to tell doctors that she ate cookies on list because they can't have hurt her.
So is this Darwin in action?
