Thank you my friends for your merciful responses to my last neurotic posting.
Your mighty-pawed snarling pirate chum is feeling better.
I spent time this weekend with people who always make me feel cheerful ... a rare and wonderful trait.
On Saturday I went to see my friend Magdalena. We went book hunting at used and rare bookstores and had a blast. One book store she picked was stuffed wall to wall with porn and we made fun of it all, much to the embarassment of the other patrons and the proprietor, who was wearing a cowboy hat and looked exacty like Bob Dylan.
At the other bookstores we went to I got some nice titles:
Tropic of Capricorn by Henry Miller
Essays on Baudelaire by Jean Paul Sartre
Serendipities: Language and Lunacy by Umberto Eco
And Vol. 1 of the Lone Wolf and Cub manga
We had lunch, and afterwards ate gummi army men and chocolate covered coffee beans and got wired on sugar. (She eats more sugar than anyone I have ever seen. It's incredible.) We fought over who would pay for lunch, and I won even though she elbowed me in the chest.
We made the gummi army men fight. She got to be the red army men because she's from Poland. Then we ate them.
On Sunday, I got to see my girlfriend. We exchanged "I love yous" for the first time. Then we went bowling and went to an Irish pub, then went home and cuddled and it felt wonderful.
Also, IMing with Allie is very comforting. Her ability to understand is really inspiring. All the best to her and Penfold.

i agree...miss Allie is amazing!
no problem about the message...what are kooky pals for?
my friends and i used to stage scenes from movies with gummi bears at our favorite restaurant when we liked the waitress. when we didn't like the waitress we built strange contraptions with forks, toothpicks, salt and pepper shakers, and other stuff so that she had to earn her tip.
glad to hear you are feeling better!
big hugs! i might be getting to the tag earlier...i was TRIPLE tagged and it makes me feel kinda special.
i'm working on one right now - and it's one of those: "i make this, you should like me too" kind of mixes....
i'm trifiling [i have no idea if that's a word, if i used it correctly or if i spelled it right] through all of my bright eyes albums... trying desperately to find the perfect song....this will take months!
