Inglourious Basterds opens everywhere today! In case you've been on another planet, this is Director Quentin Tarantino's latest film. Damn, is it ever good too.
I had the privilege of being at the Canadian premiere on August 12th. Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth were there too!
What a great film, from beginning to end. And I'm not trying to give my biased opinion as a Tarantino lover, but more so as a lover of film. He actually uses French and German speaking actors to play their respective roles. A first in a WWII film. Yes, it is fiction and he's not going for a historical take. Definitely Tarantino styled, in every way. From the music to the writing. But I think this one stands out among the rest and could be some of his best work to date.
I urge you to see it on the big screen. It's good bloody fun. Has it's funny moments, and it's real moments.
You won't leave the theatre disappointed.
