every station now has reality TV show, every newspaper has a color supplement. It's all so cliched, disappearing up its own backside. It's rare today for anyone to come up with anything genuinely new. That's why it is so beautiful when somebody really does have a brand new idea.

shit, even this journal entry is lacking original thought
-oh, reality tv is ruining the lives of tv and film crews across the country. don't support them

I would go with a tarantula, a scorpion, or a giant millipede. They're all cheap and easy to care for. However, keep in mind they live a lot longer then you think. My rose haired tarantula can live up to twenty-five years.

The only difficult thing is you have to feed the scorpions and the tarantulas live crickets every few days. You can buy a lot at one time and give em a slice of fruit and they'll last for a long time, but remember anything that needs live food can be a pain sometimes.

The millipedes eat like lettuce and stuff... I don't know if they eat fruit or bugs though, you'd have to ask. They also secrete a venom through their exoskeleton so wash your hands after handling them.

All scorpions and most tarantulas are venemous... A good starter tarantula is the rose hair, it is not venemous and is known to be the least aggressive spider. they CAN bite but they usually don't...

All of these creatures need just a five gallon container, water with a sponge in it, dirt on the bottom and something to hide under. No lights or heaters involved.
