Well, let's see here...
Firstly I recommend going to check out Radeo's sets if you haven't already and while you're at it go check out Opaque's sets, especially her new set in review Language Of The Birds. Both ladies have superb sets and are definitely on the must see list.
this is a little dedication to Opaque's new set,..and her,..and stuff. (Opaque knows what I'm talking about):
They Might Be Giants - Birdhouse In Your Soul
and while we're here with They Might Be Giants, do you remember this one:
Istanbul (Not Constantinople)
haha, takes me back to high school
Anyhoo...
Life, of late, has been interesting.
I've applied to get welding certificates at my local tafe for Tig, Mig, and Arc welding. Basically, I can weld already but I'm after the piece of paper that states *in stupid voice* "I is good welder". Also looking into an apprenticeship to become a Metal Fabricator - it's the new term for Boilermaker. I know I'm starting an apprenticeship a bit later than most but it is catered for as there is a shortage of trade qualified people, and I've always been somewhat of a late bloomer. I may look into engineering as well, we'll see what happens.
On top of that I'm looking to do more courses, like anthropology, psychology, etc, to educate myself in more than just metal working as I have an itch to learn new things. My life has sort of stagnated in the learning area so I felt it's about time to scratch that itch.
Thought about doing a few art classes as well but I have a conflicting view that art is best self-taught. I guess there is no real harm, it may open doors to new avenues.
So, I'm interested in doing a painting course and a sculpture course. Would like to make sculptures out of metal and use my current skills to really explore that. Having a Mig welder already will aid this. Who knows, I may be able to incorporate the painting into to it too, hmmm *thinks* I could even incorporate my current poetic inclinations. It all comes back to the old adage: anything is possible.
Speaking of artistic endeavours, I also dabble in photography. When I get photoshop to run right I may even post some half decent ones, but for the time being here's a few shots with my phone:
for Lady_A
these are on my way to work, while driving no less
Ok, well I need to get out of here so I'll leave you with this:
Over the last couple of days I seem to be coming out of this (listen to the lyrics):
Papa Roach - Decompression Period
and reminding myself to do this:
Korn - Hold on
Oh, I almost forgot...
Keep smiling
