and here we are again.
Sometimes I'd like to able to write without the need of utensils, you know, mind writing. Instantly written as it is thought. That would be even more useful/hilarious/interesting when I'm off my tits. Oh what stories would be told/made up/misunderstood ahahaha
I would like the same thing for writing songs. I really need that one actually. I'm so bad at remembering the songs I make up at work. I write em down as often as possible with hints to the style and sound, I've even tried writing notation but to no avail. I look at what I've written later that evening and can't remember it. It's quite frustrating as I've made up some good ones (how's that aye, I can remember that they were good but can't remember how they go). I usually start out making the chorus and work from there. I know! I need a voice recorder, though I'm not sure how well it'll pick up my voice over all the noise in my factory. Worth a try none the less.
Well, what's happened since I last wrote, umm...
I was house-sitting Slinky's place for a week from the 10th to the 16th. Well, technically I was cat-sitting as I'm sure the house would have been fine without me there. It was nice to have a house to myself. Slinky has foxtel (paytv) so I got to watch alot of American Chopper, Overhauled, and every other car and motorbike show. I'm just glad I don't have foxtel because there is too many shows to watch & I try to watch as little television as possible most of the time.
On the weekend just been my friends and I held a warehouse party in memory of a past warehouse party (Berserk 3) that was in 1994, and kind of in memory of our full blown rave days too. Berserk 3 was one of the first massive warehouse parties we had been to. Our party was at the same warehouse and from the moment I saw the stairs leading up to the entry I was getting flashbacks of the original party. It was eerily nostalgic and exciting all at once. Made me realise how much I miss the good ol' rave days.
On top of all this the party brought together alot of friends we hadn't seen in ages (facebook doesn't count), it was so good to see everyone again. Ultimately, it's the people that make the party and I can safely say we all put in our fair share to make this party rockin.
Well to cut a long story short we all got well and truly trashed. *(to the batman theme) dun na na na na na na Trashed Man!* I had almost forgotten how much fun it was to get that trashed with almost all of my close group of friends. We used to go out in groups of 20 or more to raves but now-a-days it's like 2-3 to a bar/club.
Man, I'm still amazed that no-one KOed themselves on the ramps,...oh, I forgot to mention the venue has been turned into a skatepark. It was pretty rad. It was so much fun running around, trying to get up ramps without sliding backwards just to get a bit of flat surface to dance on.
So to sum it up...wicked music, sick lasers, boomin sound system, and good company made this weekend one that I will not easily forget.
I definitely needed that party. It felt like the missing ingredient in my current life and now....I want more!!! hehehe
In a strange turn of events it seems to have motivated me. Kind of jolted me out of the slumber my life has been in. I can't tell you how happy I am about it too.
This is perfect to relay some of what the vibe was like except with alot more people

Prodigy - Wind it up

There would need to be an edit or filter button for the "thoughts appearing as text" capabilities. One could get in some serious trouble, otherwise. American Chopper? Ha! I've seen that a couple of times. Those guys are amazing. It's funny to watch the dad and son bicker too.

wow i wanna go to that party! i've always like the idea of mind writing...the concept of not having to censor myself with everyday punctuation/spelling/grammar etc is pretty appealing.
