this just goes to show you that sometimes, even when it seems the end may be near, some people have an angel sitting on their shoulder. this was the car I was riding passenger in last st. patty's day.The driver, my girlfriend at the time, was driving down a two lane road on backwoods streets going about 65 mph in the fog. She was upset and wanted to get home fast after seeing her ex b/f at a party we had gone too. It wasn't a "happy to see you"" moment for the two oif them and a fight ensued, so we left.
It was quite foggy out and we could barely see in front of the car, when suddenly I see the road is ending. She tried to brake and hit the turn at about 50 but the left rear tire hit gravel and slid us off the road into a mobile home park full of giant trees. the car swerved right then left, right into a tree, passenger side first. It spun the car 360 degrees in less then a second. I sat with glass on my lap and staring at the little blood spot from where the airbag had bitch slapped me.
Needless to say most people would have freaked or cried, but to my surprise laughter escaped me. I turned and saw my g/f crying and told her it's ok, we are "fucking" alive! I climbed out of the window of the crushed exterior where I stood kinda amazed that I survived this. If the tree had hit dead on, I might not have been here to write this but somehow in the last moment before the car struck the tree, we inched over just far enough for it to clip the front right side of the car....which was still amazing cause all I saw when we were about to crash was a tree trunk staring directly at me..i thought ..this is it...here I go.
Please..don't ever let anyone put you in danger and always trust your instincts. I have gotten out of cars on the side of the road because the driver refused to quit driving like a moron. Nothing is worth your life, especially stupid drivers. below are the pics the morning after the wreck.

Saturday during one of my breaks while getting tattooed, I got a disturbing phone call from a friend, who told me a friend of ours who cocktails at one of the bars/clubs we go to, committed vehicular homicide Friday night. She killed a 24 year old guy who was just simply driving home. T-boned him in an intersection as she flew through a red light. Her BAC was .229
Just reminds me even more that it's just NOT worth it.
