You're invited to participate in my weight loss thing in PSW - http://suicidegirls.com/groups/Plus+Sized+Women/topics/42581
It's not just us fat chicks. We have some guys and SGs on board, as well.
The inspiration:
I was a size 14 for MANY years. I gained a bunch of weight in 1996 and dropped it in 1997. (I went from a 20 to a 14).
Now, I'm a size 24:
Unforgivable.
It saddens me that I don't even recognize my body in that first picture.
In this picture, I see definition in my neck and collarbones. I look starved and breakable (on top), even though I thought I was chubby/fat back then. It's just that in comparison to my current chubby face/neck, I look so thin, even though I was pretty average. Silly me. I wish I could go back and show myself pictures of what happens when you stop eating right and exercising.
You'd think it was my head Photoshopped onto another body, but it's me. (You can see the picture I took it from in my Prom folder). Strange that a body I had for so many years is now "alien".
If you want to help/participate/share stories and so on, join us in Plus Sized Women. Since some people only need three months to get back into a healthy lifestyle (or get into one for the first time in their lives), we're doing this from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Everyone is welcome.
I plan to post a "progress" photoset as I go. It should be fun. I hope more people do that.

My only adviceis, "take your time". You did not put on that wieght in three months don't think you'll get rid of it in three months. It took you years to get here and it may take you years to get back there. So be patient with yourself.
Good luck.
I think you looked hot then AND now. It truly is about your own comfort with carrying whatever weight you choose.
