Me: Talking to my mom about Thanksgiving.
Troglodyte: We already had Thanksgiving.
Me: Yeah, yeah. You're Canadian. You don't count.
Me: Why do Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving? Is it similar to ours?
Troglodyte: Kind of. It's all about eating turkey. Isn't that what yours is?
Me: Yeah. That, and being thankful that we were able to take all that land away from the indigenous peoples.
Troglodyte: Oh, so basically, you're thankful because the indians didn't shoot back.
Troglodyte: What are you doing?
