Hey guys,
I'm at work for the next 18 hours and thought, "maybe some blog homework will help me survive this dumb shift". π
So thanks to @rambo and @missy for the ideas and finding topics to help people get to know me because I'm actually the worst at talking about myself π
So the blog homework for a couple weeks ago was to talk about a photo that's special to me and why.
Without further ado... drum roll please...
This is probably one of my favorite pictures from the year and ever. This is me and my puppy, Kuro, before I had made the decision to bring him home.
I had recently started seeing my current boyfriend and went to his sister's house to meet her. He told me his sister's dogs recently had a litter of puppies. Obviously I got excited because who doesn't want to see puppies?!
So at the time they were about 3 months old and some of them went to their forever homes, but Kuro (formally named Simba Jr.), and 2 of his siblings at the time were left.
When I got there I greeted his sister, her boyfriend, and the dogs before I made it to the puppies. Instantly, I fell in love with this little babe. ππ€ He was the runt and the scrawniest little thing, but I could feel this babe's personality radiating from him. He just didn't know how to show it yet because he was living in his sibling's shadows.
So after a few minutes being with the puppies, who spent their time in a big plastic tote, I put Kuro down and went upstairs with my boyfriend's family.
We go to his sister's room, we're all about to smoke, and all of a suddenly we hear little scratches at the door.
The door swings open and little Kuro, who at the time was no bigger than my forearm, was doing a little waddle into the room. I squealed with excitement seeing him, even though I just did 5 minutes prior π
So Kuro comes in, and he sits directly at my feet and just looks at me with those big puppy eyes. π At the time it was the cutest thing because his head was bigger than his body so he just looked bug eyed. π
That's when everybody in the room knew. He chose me. This dog escaped his little tote, climbed up the stairs at 3 months old, and sat at the feet of the human that was going be his momma.
This picture is when I picked him up and sat him on my lap. He looked like he just wanted me to take him away from the world that he knew.
I knew then that I had to put the deposit down and bring him home to me. My dad almost killed me, but it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask permission π
This is my baby now. This was about a month ago and he is the happiest and most loving little pup I've ever met and I wouldn't have it any other way. This dog is literally my whole world. ππ€π
