FUCK!!!!, I killed my car yesterday! I'm glad I started preparing to upgrade my turbo 2 weeks ago. The hose that runs to the valve that keeps the turbo running at a safe pressure was rubbing on a sharp metal edge and caused the valve to work incorrectly, which in turn killed my turbo prematurely. I took everything apart after work today and tried to find out where the failure occured but was unable to find anything wrong. I'm stumpped, so Jeramie is going to come over after work tommorow and see if he can help me find the problem. If I am lucky it's just a gasket or something minor that is fixable. I am driving my work van for now. I don't know how long it will be before my new turbo will arrive, and I know Mike (my boss) isn't too thrilled with the idea of me taking the van home. I went ahead and put the order last week for the turbo and a few of the other parts so they would get here sooner, but I still have to buy the O2 sensor housing and oil lines. Money is getting very tight! I will have to call the distibuter and see if they know the delivery date yet. Hopefully we will be able to find the problem tommorow or maybe I can borrow Jeramie's old 100k mile turbo until mine comes in. It can't be in any worse shape than mine is right now!
Wish me luck,
Lon
