How was everyone's Christmas?
I had a bit of a weird one.
I went back to my parents for a week, just got back.
Christmas Eve was epic. I started on the gin before I even left my house, so after some time at home then an hour long drive (as a passenger, I'd like to point out!) I was fairly hammered. But it was just the start, and I ended up drunker than I've been for probably a couple of years, to the point at which I lost a large amount of memory. Which never happens. Although retrospectively I wish I'd lost more... Of the few memories which exist past ten o'clock-ish, one vague though very definite and haunting one, was climbing behind the bar at the club where one of my close friends works and stripping off my top revealing my scars to him. Luckily, it was near the end of the night, so he managed to lock the door before anyone came in from the downstairs bar. I then remember being outside the club with him helping me home. And that's all I remember of being at the club. The next morning I sent him a text saying I'd prefer if we pretended it hadn't happened, which he's so far honouring. On the plus side (?) of all the people I could have done that too, there would be many worse than him. He's never done it himself but he's had girlfriends who have so he understands. And it is somehow comforting to know that I could talk to him now if it ever felt I needed to.
So onwards and upwards. Managed to hide it from everyone else thank god. It's required constant vigilance on my part, not least by staying sober enough to stay in control..., but also because there's basically no privacy in my parents house. There's no lock on the bathroom door even. I've never had such a tense bath! Plus when we're all back together I have to share a room with my brother. so it's long sleeves and trousers even in bed. But anyway, success on that front.
Christmas Day. Hungover to hell. Otherwise quite nice. Dinner at my Gran's. Family stuff. Etc. Same story from most people I guess. Nothing particularly exciting to be honest.
New things:
The rest of the time I basically spent watching old school films with my brother and sister, all the classics. Home Alone, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, The Secret Garden, the '79 cartoon of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Uncle Buck, Big, some Harry Potters, Mary Poppins, and last but not least the Goonies. My sister had never watch the Goonies before, can you believe it, so I took before and after photos of the epic occasion.
Anyway tiredness turns my blog potential into obscure pointless ramble, so I'm going to stop, but I'll do another in the next couple of days. So, this'll be replaced before long - enjoy it while you can if it pleases you.
Tata.

Honey I shrunk the Kids on DVD? Psh, shyt, Christmas would be totally complete right there. That's a childhood classic, mon.
Before anyone gets to it, no more gin for you, mate without proper supervision.
