On that note:
It's been so long since I wrote a blog that I can't keep up with what's happened.
I've moved house, I'm now living in Hastings (well 20 metres away from the border, technically in St Leonards) about 10 minutes away from work with a bunch of brilliant creative people who all now also work in the studio where we're based. Jake (VJ, filmmaker, genius), Paul (Illustrator, animator, chef) and Mikey (Multimedia dude and all round nice guy).
I have a beautiful tendency to naively think that everything is all good. Always. And it's only once everything is all good that you realise everything wasn't all good. Up until I moved out about a fortnight ago, I had been having a terrible time in the sense that I was losing all of my creativiy. Even working for a film production company, most of my work had been administrative for a while, but things have taken a real turn and I'm feeling definite 'right life' at the moment.
Just the other day, I woke up, with a bit of a hangover, and I took off along the coast with Jake from Hastings to Dungeness via Petts Level and Camber Sands in his wicked little 2CV to do some photography, just because we were bored. Here are some of the ones I got:
Hm it's doing that thing of not showing the full size, it cuts loads of the edge off. Sorry.
There are some more in my pics section. When they transferred the negs onto CD they looked a bit whitewashed and I haven't done any prints yet, so I can't tell if it was me or their neg digitising - I've known it to be both! So I whacked up the contrast a bit digitally.
So yeah, sitting in my new room with my new laptop by my window with a beautiful sea view, listening to Neil Young (a new discovery, highly reccommended) editing a film I made, and I'm happy.
So la di la, ho hum...
Going to LIDL to buy pitta bread and orange juice. And maybe ice creams. It's sunny! Woohoo!
Love and peace
