I had a friend give me $200 dollars he owed me for an old racing pulley off my little drag car. Pretty cool right? ... yeah, extra $200. I had to drive about 30min south to pick it up. I put in $20 in gas & about $10 for lunch. .... after my car broke down, $20 cab home & it's usually about $100 for a tow. After the drive & waiting in the hot, sweltering FL sun for about an entire wasted day off work, I should net about $50 from the trip. That is my luck for sure.
We usually have from 5 to 7 cars & this particular car is our "fuck it" car. I literally wouldn't care if it was stolen. I always like to have a side car, a disposable ride that isn't customized in any way. That way you can drive it to the mall, leave it unlocked & if someone runs into it... "Fuck it"... lol. I'm considering going to get the tag and wheels off of it & just leaving it where it is. When the cops & tow truck show up at my door & say,"We have a car that belongs to you", I'll just tell them I sold it a few weeks earlier. Don't worry... I've already had this happen before, lol.
I think I'll sell all my camera gear and go get an old SS Chevelle.

Oh wow... I know where this car is... You see the half brick house behind the car in the pic... That's an apartment .I lived upstairs there before I moved here. Shit.. It's a couple blocks away, lol. If I go look at it, I will drive the Impala over there so he don't think I'm bullshitin him... old car guy to old car guy style.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm a purist. It's either a restoration to stock or it's a cool hot rod. Hot rods kick ass, but they aren't worth nearly the $$$ of a resto. I'd offer him $5k-$6k and laugh if he stuck at $11k.
