i love the deli at whole foods. i really like to discuss the meat i purchase. i know, i know, some of you are vegans and vegies..whatever, its your iron deficiency and anemia....uhm..kidding.
anyway...yes the deli at whole foods, where i can asked about certain cuts...which steak is more tasty, more or less fatty, which fish is the best to cook with this or that. its everything to me.
im a consumer, and i really like to talk about what im buying. i feel so alienated in those depots or coscos where its like your on your own. i really want to talk about it.
ill buy just about anything from someone who seems to know what they are talking about. but usually, its just not the case.
my big grievance is when somone cant explain why there is one 20 dollars more than the other thats exactly the same..im inclined to buy the more expensive one, just tell me why....but they pick up the product and start reading the box...and like they knew already say basically what the box says...
i miss the days of the salesman, of customer service, of well trained sales staff trained in the art of getting me to buy, the more expensive one.

i was on that until i pigged out on a bag of pepperidge farm distinctive cookies last night from a give-away bag of some bullshit corporate party.
i'm kicking myself. you can't eat just eggs and bacon and then casually down a bag of cookies. oops.
