So I was thinking the last few days about living in public. The urge we have to share every move we make via Facebook, Twitter, and here. How depending on your inclinations, your personal life is well, not so personal.
I realized this strongly when something ruffled me and I felt the need to tweet, text and mope about it instantly. There is no reason that everyone needs to know my mood swings or anything else. Especially as there was a point in my life when I was pretty private.
Then this morning I check Facebook, and an ex from a while ago's dad is one of my suggested friends. Which is even more amusing considering the said ex's head has been bagged for over a year. So there's that aspect to. Remember when a relationship ended and you had more of a chance to just move on? No Myspace stalking, or reading Live Journal..ugh.
That being said, when I have chosen to talk too much about me, or about some sort of relationship or body issue I have found support in a way that I may not have found in real life. So it is a trade off in all this, it seems.
