Things of note so far in my long ass Christmas trip.
- When I am back home, I drink a pot of coffee on my own.
-Nonsmoking in a home that you used to sneak cigs at when you were 13 is weird.
-I am incredibly prone to overeating whenever I am at my mom's house, my dad's not so much. It's like she puts something in the air that makes me feel like I have a tapeworm.
-I am calm. Seriously, something happened to me since this move that things that would have shaken me, or pissed me off just don't. I also have learned to anticipate certain letdowns as behaivor patterns show them to be prone to it.
-My dad is actually doing me a solid and putting me on his cell plan. With the money we paid for this trip, and all that I am bad on money for a few more weeks(i hope not months, but who knows) so since he works for Verizon he just hooked me up with some phone plan and a new phone. As soon as it is in my hands and working I will inform needed parties of what the new number is.
-My younger brother is going to be 21 the day after Christmas. Since I have moved he has gotten some of his shit together and actually started being an adult. It is one thing to live with my mom and not have to pay rent, it is another to do it and not even do your own wash. He is also the funniest human alive.
eh. Things have been good, and weird. Seeing my mom as sick as she is has been weird. She's not horrible, but you can tell she is in pain. She keeps apologizing for not being as exciting as she normally is. I keep telling her she is doing better than the doc's thought she would be, and to relax.
The remainder of the trip here will be full of family stuff. I realized that I have no friends here really to come home to, and that sucks a bit. He's making plans to meet up with all these people, and it is just well, just my family pretty much in the area my folks live in. I moved around too much I guess. Or I just am not a friend person. Whatever.
This is getting far too long and boring.
I leave NJ first thing Tuesday morning, and will be in KS until 12/23 then to Vegas.
