first of all i'm really proud about the music scene we have. of course there's plenty of shitty pop music but i guess this excises everywhere.
i don't know if it's just because it's my mother language and therefore i can feel deeper the lyrics or if the music is so wonderful like i think.
I just really feel bad cause i know thousands of people here, artists, painters, musicians, photographers, actors who i admire and i get inspired of but somehow greece seems to be cursed and these people stay anonymous in the rest of europe.
Especially the music part, i really feel sad that greek is not a common language and the majority can't understand any of it.
For me we have a great music scene. "Rempetiko" for example (greek blues) is a perfect gerne of music that everyone should be in position to enjoy.
Or the greek punk scene for say.
Two days ago i went to a concert in athens to a band named Nightstalker. It is a great band, one of the hottest in my opinion, with english lyrics (lucky for you), but i really don't get why they aren't worldwide known for what they do.
I've been saying it for ages, greece is cursed.
