I am starting to consider quitting my job, moving in with a roomie, and doing photography full time. I no longer doubt myself, and more and more often I see professional pictures and think, I could have made that. I feel that the time is now for getting out of the classroom and into the industry, assisting local professionals, and putting together a competitive portfolio.
I will wait until February, when my CD matures, then I will make a final decision. In the meantime I will leave you with Gediminas Zilinskas. One of my favorite photographers.
I believe this series he is calling "Season of Colors".

And under this spoiler is a Playboy cover he shot. It's not as beautiful as the "Season of Colors" images, but I think it's very creative and well executed.
Note: There is an interesting trend moving away from large softbox light and more towards having a harsher key. Each shot in "Season of Colors" is a simple paramount lighting with little or no fill depending on the image.

Well, you have come a really long way as a photographer since I met you and I think if you love it as much as you say you do, you should try to make a living at it because you are good at it and it makes you happy!
