today is a better day. I had chocolates for breakfast. that's right. I needed more sweetness in my life, so fuck it, I'll eat chcolate for any meal of the day I want!
On a slightly worrisome note, my best friend and companion of 13 years, Poe the toy poodle had another "seisure" last night. at least we (the vet and I) think they are seisures. the last one was over two years ago. Basically he becomes paralysed and looses the ability to control his legs. it's very wierd and scary...though he doesn't seem to have any problem breathing. He was just lying next to me last night then all of a sudden he stood up and raised his paw and then fell over...he kept trying to get up, but I made him lie still...his eyes get so big and scared and his legs tuck up close to his body and it's like he can't move tham at all. it probably lasts about 30 to 40 seconds, but it feels like forever when I'm waiting for him to come out of it. he's shaking for a little bit and then like two minutes after it happens he's fine. it's like it never happened.
So far these incidents have been few and far between, but now I'm keep ing a close eye on him..if he has another in the next few days we have to go to the vet. it worries me a little that he could be having these when I'm at work and I have no idea. I doubt I can afford a nanny cam...but I'm considering getting one since I keep both my dogs in the kitchen during the day so they are confined to one area of the apartment.
My poor little old man.
