The (cool) Finnish Prog-rocker comments not-withstanding, I shaved the fungus shortly after the picture was taken. There's a pick up on my flickr page (linked in the post) that shows my current, defungussed look.

And I reckon I'll be down the hairdressers next payday to get the mop sorted.
