I'mlying in my bed, trying to fall asleep. I feel as though I have gravel pouring down my throat, and rolling around in the back of my eyeballs. My forehead feels slightly cooler than I imagine the surface of the sun to be.
I'm lying in my bed feeling rather miserable and more than a little sorry for myself. I'm almost asleep, finally. And my darling little kitty cat somehow seems to realise how I must feel, so she comes over to me, purring like a power-boat, and starts pacing back and forth across my chest, mewing reassuringly.
I am now entirly awake, which is frustrating, though somewhat reassured. Apparently miao, miao, miao. Apparently.
