I spent a week and a half staying with my mother in a tiny country town. Evil Shoebox freshly stocked full of new books for me shorted out. My bank cards didn't work. These things were bad.
I went ninety feet beneath the earth in a beatuiful cave full of stone structures that grow barely a centimeter in a century. I discovered Blood Orange and Liquorice icecream. I spent a week with three little girls I've known since birth. I just saw my kitten for the first time in a fortnight. These things were good.
I missed some of you. I missed others of you more.

I love delving deep beneath the Earth into the lightless places where the stones whisper to one another over the long quiet years (though I seldom get the opportunity to do so, certainly not nearly so frequently as I would like).
Say hello for me to Eddie when the time comes , for I am far away.
