*recovery update*
I LIVE!
(no IDGAS... you may not take my dog!)
I have been recovering very well! I have been able to eat solid foods since day 2, and I have been talking the entire time. Not the brightest idea, but as long as I'm not bleeding I don't see a problem. My throat has a wonderful, white scab coating. My uvula is finally no longer sitting on my tongue. I am still numb in the mouth (my tongue and jaw are suffering most), and my chin/neck/throat/tongue are still fairly swollen. I am thinking this is because of the steroids, and I hope for the swelling to persist soon! I would like to be able to step into society again, sooner than later, without looking like a swollen freak.
But overall, I feel great. It's about that time where my scabs might start bleeding and peeling so I was told to be careful these next few days. I will be returning to work Thursday, so long as my healing continues as planned.
Thanks for the well wishes from everyone!
