Some random things about the types of men I seem to surround myself with:
They tend to own more hair/skin/body products than me.
They are way more obsessed with fashion, their clothes, their hair and own appearance than I am (about myself).
The majority of them tend to have anorexic tendencies (again obsession with appearance). They also not only understand what having a "fat day" means, they have them.
When people find out that they actually date women, they are extremely surprised.
They are much more in touch with their feminine side than I am with my own. Not necessarily mannerisms but emotionally and personality wise. And they can be as, if not more, moody than me (and that is pretty hard to beat).
I am probably one of the few (if not only) people who have seen them cry. Is this b/c I pushed them to the edge (ha ha) or they feel that comfortable around me???!?!
If we are in an, um, intimate relationship, they seem to feel comfortable enough to allow themselves to, well, how to put this, "express themselves" in ways that they haven't with other partners.
I have to endure the longing looks from men directed at them (!) when in public. I have even told off a (very large) drag queen in a (very full) gay bar after a comment was directed at the man (my ex-husband) I was with. I feared for my life as soon I said it and we left shortly thereafter.
They have all been able to say (with a straight face - ha!) "Oh yeh, so-and-so or that guy is good-looking" or, "I'm not gay, but if I were I would go out with that guy/him/my friend, etc."
Ok, so I am not in any way attracted to super-macho, super-muscled, corvette driving type guys. Nope, not for me!
I love gay seeming straight men, what can I say?!?!?
