Curious if I can post a blog via mobile.
It's a chilly yet not cold morning in Lompoc. I'm sitting on my back porch sipping on my 2nd cup of coffee, enjoying the marine layer before it burns off. The weather has been warm this week which has been a blessing in my bones and muscles. The wind here goes straight through and chills your soul.
Lately I've been doing a lot of soul searching trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I'm at a good point to change my major and I think I've decided English is not my thing. I thought I'd enjoy literature more and while it's interesting, it's not something I see myself pursuing a career in. I've been debating communication or photography and I think I'm leaning towards the latter. I'm praying to all Gods that transferring my credits goes smoothly.
Life since moving to California was off to a rough start but things seem to be settling well. I have a boyfriend I completely adore who treats me better than I probably deserve. My daughter is here and gets to grow up in a place where neighborhood kids still can safely play outside. Not to mention, every kid should be able to experience the beach, especially the tide pools.
I haven't had much luck making many friends here. I've got a few, but I'm hoping I can network a bit more. Job hunting has been a bit more difficult than anticipated. Financially, we're making it but it will definitely be a lot more comfortable once I'm able to bring some income in. I'm really not used to the whole housewife role. I'm usually more of an active person, cabin fever is no fun either.
I really wish the Central Coast group was more active. It'd be neat to meet people with similar interests in my area. The Bay Area is more of a weekend trip thing as well as SoCal.
I really miss SG Chat. Even though I may not be considered a regular anymore it really helps preserve my sanity while stuck at home.
Per usual, here's some pictures to look at.
