So the dreaded special project is finally over. And boy do I have a bone to pick. First thing monday morning I'm calling up the Humane Society and reporting the dick wads from the event. Although a lot of them were very nice, I lost complete respect when animal cruelty occured.
Ok, so if it wasn't bad enough that these poor animals were in tiny cages all week, barely even able to strech their legs, this guy was SO mean when trying to loaad the animals up into the trailer. The event was over so we were cleaning up. The sheep, goat, and chickens all went in there fairly easily, but there were also two small pigs there. Well they had to put them into the back part of the trailer so they weren't with the sheep and goats. Obviously pigs can't really jump up onto a trailer, so they were going to lift them up onto the trailer.
This ASSHOLE grabs the poor fucking pig by his back legs and literally throws the pig in. He does it to both.
Of course if any of yall know me, I started running at the mouth. They began trying to tell me that he didn't hurt them (even tho the pigs were squealing like crazy and th big thud from when they landed) and they were fine. And even had the nerve to say, "Don't you eat bacon? Pork chops? Well where do ya think it comes from?!" I spat back, "Oh, alright, so that gives you a free pass to treat them like shit?" I was biting my tongue so hard I swore it'd bleed. Of course, I was doing community service, so these people were I guess kinda like my "bosses." I really didn't care. I had to leave the room before I said anything I may regret. I wanted to rough that guy up a bit, hey- he's gonna die eventually right?
Anyways, I'm glad it's over. For this year anyways. I think I may volunteer next year even though I won't need the hours, just to make sure they don't treat the animals any more poorly. It's ridiculous. There was also a presentation to show the kids how they milk a cow ect ect, obviously that poor cow didn't have much room either, but the "owner" of the cow was trying to walk her back to her "cage" for the night and she didn't want to go with him (she obviously didn't like him) and apparently he had started yelling at the cow and hitting her. Luckily I wasn't there for that one, or I'd have ripped him a new one too. I'm just so disgusted. This whole thing is supposed to educate kids about agriculture, but the way these people treat the animals is fucking sad. UGH ok- next subject.
On a positive note, Ms. Bianca is going to be one next week!

I'll be 22. So since I didn't get ot do the ritual "get tore up for your 21st birthday" thing, I may do that this year Or I may just relax and sleep in late. That'd be fantastic.
