Thanks to Miss Sophie who got me on a thankfulness tangent today! 
We got our place we got our place we got our plaaaaaace!
I can't stop thinking about it! My first place! Only ours!
No one making messes. No one eating our food. No one smoking our weed. No one banging around waking us up at all hours of the night. No one blasting the tv at max volume 24/7. No one having dirty rude people over (or sleeping in our bed while we're gone---EWWWWWW
). No one parking like a friggin idiot blocking us so we have to park in the alley OR banging their doors into our car! No more walking in and being overwhelmed by the stink. No more dealing with ANYONE unless I want to!
Ohhhhh so excited!
I happened to look on craigslist and found 11 listings I liked...almost didn't call on this one because of the price...which incidentally is $1100...lol...But I did, went and loooked and as soon as I saw it I wanted to live there. I have NEVER felt that way about possible living quarters. It's always been, 'eh, this will work for now'. But this one!
The property kicks ass, for one. It's on the very top of a hill, it's a historical landmark..so is the house...it's a huge old creepy looking house until you walk up to it and see all of the tlc that's been put into it since they've had it...all landscaped and cheery....Our studio is on the opposite side of the hill and we have our own address...
We have a big 2 car garage..this is the biggest deal..we HAD to have a garage for Shawn to do his car thing, and now we have OUR OWN! And it's huge!
The studio is built on top of the garage. It's been totally gutted and remodeled beautifully--and we notice construction, Shawn being a general contractor and all. It's bright and cheery with lots of windows and ocean views, nice new counters and appliances, nice straight tile job in the bathroom, big walk in closet, beautiful bamboo floors, our own little front porch...
I was concerned with the built in bed platform--I usually am picky about where my bed goes---but it's in the perfect spot, even feng shui wise on the north wall with our heads either at the east or west...
They're putting up a trellis around the whole studio and there are lots of vines and plants and we can help landcape and have our own healthy plants....YAY for plants...my evil ex roommate killed all of mine...about fifty of them..I don't even know how..I went to stay with my mom for a week, came back and they were hurtin.
We're gonna go through every single thing we have and bring only the bare minimum...getting rid of all the hand me down furniture and buying our own....How fun! I've never been able to set up house and decorate the way I want!
I can do yoga whenever I want! I can go to bed as early as I want or take a nap whenever I want!!!!!!!!!!
This is soooo great!
We only have one bill too--utilities included! This is awesome.
And our landlord is the coolest lady! We all vibed well right away and she's excited to feel good about who she's renting to...LOVE IT.
Anyway, we move in next weekend or the next...
I'm so relieved and grateful!!!!
Oh, and IT's SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to get my ass in shape and buy some bikinis!!!!!!!! I LOOOOOOVE San Diego summers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and once we're settled in, I can plan my trip to New York to see my PLP I have only seen once in the past six months since she moved there!!!!! I miss her so much and this trip will be the bomb!!!
Yah so. I'm excited.
