"Oscar See Through Red Eye" is the first single.
What defines This album from previous work is Boards simple desire to make a melodic, beautiful record. This time we just wanted to see how far we could take conventional instrument sounds like guitars but to make them play extremely unconventional arrangements, and I hope the result sounds even older and more beautiful than our other work.
So now with the Campfire Headphase the sound of BOC has become too organic to be labelled electronica' anymore, reaching backwards to 70's psychedelia, shoegaze and British Wyrd Folk influences.
However, a common thread interlinking past work remains, and that is the integration of the rural Scottish environment they live in into their music, but this goes even deeper with this album. So now you too can come on and feel the Campfire Headphase.
I've an advanced copy. It's really, really good.
This is one of those albums I forsee buying several times 'cause it's that good.
