So I'm done with the saga of my journey to Woodstock: I paid the final fines and made my first/last appearance at the Probation Services office this morning. Total cost: $550.25 +money order fees and gas. I guess I'll try to get a GA license now.
In other news, I'd like to vent on how totally inconvenient the new laundry system at my apartment complex is, but for comparison I'm going to outline the previous system first: two types of machines, coin operated & debit/credit operated. $15 or more charged to your debit/credit card at one time, with subsequent uses being pulled from your account number at the reader, and deducted accordingly. Don't want to use your card? No problem. Use quarters, like every other laundry out there in the US. Pay your dollar and load your clothes. Lose your card? Call the company and they'll change your balance to your new card. Simple. Easy. No fucking problem.
The new system uses a proprietary card that you're charged for upon first use ($2) and accepts only bills of the $5, $10, or $20 denominations. The machines will not accept quarters or coins of any kind, nor whole dollars, nor dollars in any amount over $20. They have also increased the cost of the cycles to $1.20 rather than the previous $1. So now I'm faced with going to the ATM to make a withdrawl at 10:45PM or have soggy clothes for work tomorrow. How nice.
I think I'm gonna sabotoge the motherfucker. I hate it.
