OK so I am in a rough spot. There's a button below that helps me out. Yes, I know this is sad but I am out of options right now.
Here's the background if you're up for it.
StupidLady gets Road Rage and sideswipes me. 2 days later RastaLady tries to not hit someone in front of her and crunches the other side. StupidLady has good insurance and they say "Take your car to OurFavoriteBodyShop to get it fixed. We'll pay for it and arrange for a rental for you." I say YAY and go to bodyshop.
While there, I discuss the situation with the gentleman taking care of me and explain to him that I would like to get both areas fixed at the same time if at all possible. He says "Sounds Good! But we're not going to do work on the 2nd incident if RastaLady's insurance doesn't cover it, unless you're going to cover it." I say "Sounds Good! I don't even have the cash to get you to do that thing where you buff out some other minor items so please don't do anything that's not going to be covered by the insurance companies!" He says "No problem. Sign this paper giving me authorization to work on your car and off you go!"
I signed the paper. It was my understanding that I was signing for StupidLady's area of damage only.
My claim with RastaLady has since been dragged out for about 3 months and I have been without my car for almost 2 months now. The body shop has proceeded to fix all areas of my car and will not return my car to me without payment in full for the work that has been done. They are using the authorization I signed for StupidLady's area of damage as authorization to fix everything. RastaLady's insurance is refusing to pay for a rental car as they aren't accepting responsibility as of this date and are taking their sweet fucking time getting the claim finished. StupidLady's insurance cut off billing of the rental car today which means that if I didn't return the car or secure it with a deposit by 6PM today, I would be held responsible for the charges on the rental car and possibly have the rental car reported stolen. I don't have a credit card or money for deposit so the car had to go back.
So right now I have no car and am begging rides from coworkers so that I can show up to work. My family does not have the money to loan me to pay the deductable of $500 to my insurance company so that I can get my car back. I don't know what else to do but to ask for help from all of you in the SG. How ironic.
