pesky:
the fact you used a series of frames from matilda combined with your exuberant and witty commentary means that we should consistently intrude in one another's lives and comment/spectate/dance/laugh/etc.

I hope you find it nice to make my acquaintance.

Well, it looks like I'm back.
After three months of not having access to a secure computer [allow me not to elaborate] I'm going to attempt a more significant presence here on SG. It was hard having to let said presence lapse but real life has this habit of throwing your [no offense] weathered carcass into the jolly fire and watching it darken to a...

are why I love you.
Not love like that, but you know,
more like the brotherly sort . . .

Oh thank goodness, I was worried you'd been turned off by our Amerasians. Don't worry. I won't ask for alimony. They're very low maintenance. ooo aaa

My cat, Callie, used to resist the leash, but you know! Cats and their curiosity! They give in eventually!

I'm glad free shrugs have been finally recognized. I've been giving those out for no recognition for forever.

Agreed, I think the PC push tends toward the terrible separate but equal philosophies.
I really dug the Bond flicks too, now they just seem silly. And the sexism just kind of trite.
charity:
Thanks honey. I need a new show to get into, might give that one a go x

I'm at work with no access to a computer, so the spectacufucking update I promised will have to wait until later today or tomorrow.
Suffice to say, I drove a thousand miles, consumed copious amounts of triptophan-laden foul with my family, scored a swank wool sweater that makes me look like Hemingway (minus the beard) and I intervened in a bloodbath between a mini-Benji and...

We could wear matching striped socks. Heck, I'm wearing them now. Grey and white at the mo, but the others are white and navy blue, all the way up and past the knee - porn-star style.

And re Amerasian children... before you click the spoiler, I think I need to say that I don't think there was anything -- ANYTHING -- weird -- at all -- about taking your picture, cropping it, and painstakingly adding points all over it for computer analysis.

That sounds freaking awesome. I wish I was badass enough. Also, super jealous you are visiting Poland. I've got a bitchin' Polish name and a weakness for old bearded Polish gentlemen, but I've never visited. Remember to wash your kielbasa down with some Bracki Kolak!

I love my Jeep.
Like obscenely so.
It's a 1990 Wrangler YJ with a 2-inch lift and 31-inch tires.
This means, in common-speak, that I can run over Mini Coopers (and thier annoying occupants) and place fear into the hearts of the unsuspecting on a regular basis.
With that said, I think I have to get rid of it.
In the last two months, I've...

Aww. Sorry to hear about the premature end to owning your dream car. I'm so far away from having a dream car, I don't think I've ever even thought of it! Cars suck the money out of you eh. :\
pactum:
In the last year I have spent +/-R40 000 on my car - according to the Big Mac Index that's just under $8000. So to say I know what you mean about cars is a a slight understatement.

My car went in for a major service which cost a major amount of dosh, only to head back into the workshop a week later because it decided it needed a new ignition system. Funny story that part needed to be imported from Germany. Not so funny story - that import took 4 weeks.
I was eating breakfast (Toast and Jam if you must know) when I was politely informed that somebody had just driven into my car... Fast forward a few months, sell car, buy new car ... Somebody drives into new car.

I have come to the conclusion that I have really bad karma (one to many 'my carma just ran over your dogma jokes?')

Soooo, I tried to post a blog yesterday and it only allowed for the initial sentence to post. no matter how many times I copied and pasted it. I don't know, SG, you're quickly becoming a shitty blog platform. Do I have to threaten to go somewhere else because I'm not getting the love and affection that I need, better yet, that I damn well...

my solution to teenager+ trick or treaters (unless they're clearly on a scavenger hunt or something):
cheap paper cups + boiling mulled cider; tell them I used hard cider; ladle the latter into the former and wish them a good night. The possibility of free booze makes them hang on to the cups until the cider bleeds through them...

kids get their choice of a piece of fruit plus two handfuls of candy. accompanying adults are offered a glass of sherry

I want cookies....

lol but really, thanks for your love and support. it means so much to me these days when I can't seem to find the light at the end of the tunnel. You are a good friend, no matter how far away you may be, and I appreciate it so very much

On to other things.
I've tried to be a more active force on SG as of late but the job is kicking my ass. I do intend to sit down with a multitude of beer and a bushel full of sarcastic witticisms an gaggle of attitude and update properly,
I...
