The committee for my paper defense were a trio of older professors. And they spent a nice amount of time tearing me and my paper apart. But in the end, beaten and bruised, I passed my defense. So a little bit of paperwork pending, I have a master's degree now.

YAY!!! Congratulations!

So I'm supposed to defend my paper tomorrow. If successful I graduate with my masters degree. And I can't freaking sleep. The weird part about this is that I had my hooding ceremony today. So I got to do that as though I were graduating, but I won't know for sure until at least tomorrow. Hopefully it all goes well.

libris:
Good luck! I'm sure you're going to do well!

So growing up, my older brother would kick my ass at any fighting game we ever played. Especially mortal kombat. And I mean mercilessly too. He never even threw me a mercy win. And boy did he ever gloat. So he recently picked up the newest one and today he finally got a second controller. I beat the shit out of him. A dozen matches...

Yep, I know exactly what your talking about, bro! :)

So tired. I had to wake up super early to watch my niece today. Not a good thing to have to do on one hour of sleep. But thanks to the goodness of caffeine I made it out alive. Now I get to put the finishing touches on that paper and read more theory for class. Yay... almost done. Then I just have to pray...

You know you've led a less than ideal life when getting ready to go to bed at almost 3:30 in the morning is getting to bed early. I'm so damned tired...

Yeah, I heard that before. Good thing is, there is an end to it some day. Just make sure to take care of yourself.
damian_stark:
Wow. Fuck that noise.

The end of the semester is extremely close, and I still haven't finished my 30 page paper that I need to defend to graduate. So here I am at 3:08 in the morning, 22 pages done, and I'm running out of things to say. It doesn't help that there is literally no scholarship written on my subject, so I don't...

Best of luck! You can do this!

You can do it. Just because it's not out there before doesn't mean it cannot be done.

So yeah, I'm working on a paper that's due tomorrow and I got this brilliant idea that there was a quote from another book that would help my paper. So I went digging through the massive stacks of books that make up the majority of the mess in my room to find it. Naturally it was on the bottom of one of the...

Okay, this has been bugging me for a while now. When I view sets around here and decide to comment, I tend to read a few of the other comments that other people put. And I've noticed a trend among some of the guys on this site, who for some reason think it's okay for them to tell the models that they need...

Agreed!

I just got back from seeing Bad Religion play a show. Fucking great show, they played a fairly small venue in my city tonight. They must have played for at least an hour and a half, minimum. There was some shitty band that opened for them, wasn't worth remembering. But that means I got to go to class, then immediately leave for the show...

I was a huge fan when I was around 15 or 16 years old, and Generator will always be one of my favorite albums. :)

Alright. I promised @libris that I'd tell her about this at some point. So it's time for a strange stroll down memory lane. Hooray for clichés! Sorry. I haven't slept in a couple days so I'm a bit crazy at the moment...

Anyway, gather around children, it's story time. (This is going to be a long post.) When I was...

Pretty similar to your experience, but with no distinct voices. The sense of dread, the sense of being watched, of -presence-... Yes. Sometimes there was music, of a sort. Like a viola or violin. Creepy.

@damian_stark Music? That's interesting.
