I'm fucking losing my mind here. Still no job. I'm doing more cooking for the family since I'm not working, which is kind of cool since I actually enjoy it. I finally got around to playing fallout 3, I know I'm way behind but grad school was a bitch. It's cool so far, even though it hates me.

And a

I'd really love to help, but I'm afraid I don't know how. Just hang in there, dude! Oh, and Fallout 3 rocks, even though it's a few years old now. ;)

Man, it's nice being able to talk to another writer. My friend came in from Miami this weekend, and he brought a friend with him. I feel bad because I didn't catch his name, but we spent a lot of time talking about the different projects we're working on and venting about the difficulties of writing. It was nice having someone who...

So I made the decision to start playing skyrim again. And my god I forgot how addictive that game was. I had gotten pretty damn far before I stopped playing because of school, I had full dragon armor and was so far removed from the main story that I was working on a side quest within a side quest within the dlc. So I decided...

I know it's late and all, but I'm sitting here watching a Syfy giant squid movie. I tried to get my buddy to watch too since he's still awake but no dice. And it made me realize that I don't have anyone in my life who likes these cheesy creature features like I do. That really sucks. I love these stupid...

@baalseraph I've been watching this stuff all week. These Syfy marathons are great.
baalseraph:
Well, I don't have SyFy, but there's a television network here in Germany called Tele 5 where they have a show called "Schlefaz". This is the short form of "Die schlechteste Filme aller Zeiten", german for "The worst movies of all time". It's my favorite show (actually the only one on free TV worth watching) with two of my favorite comedians presenting the actual worst movies of all time, drinking funny longdrinks that match the movie and commenting the most silly scenes. I love this show so much! Aside from that I have access to tons of similar material via Netflix. :)

So my back has gotten better to the point that I can move again. But I still have to be careful how I sit or what I do so that I don't agitate it and make it hurt again (which I do far too often, I'm dumb that way). While I'm on the subject, @arroia hopefully you're feeling better now. I...

Sounds good, the "better" back as well as the new story concept. I understand that writing is a pretty difficult thing (I have tried it a few times myself, but it just didn't work as well as I hoped) so having a character that starts to assume shape should be a good start. :)

Day three or four, I'm not sure anymore, of my back being fucked up. I can finally move around, but it still hurts like hell. It really makes it hard to sleep.

I most likely twisted wrong moving some particularly heavy bags in case you were wondering.

I think the cat knows I'm injured because he's been trying to murder me for...

Stop having a sore back! I will sick @lumo and her terrifying fingers on your for a massage!
wolfwood1203:
@vassilis And now after that threat I'm not entirely sure I want my back to stop hurting just yet...

So I'm not sure I have this whole "grown up" thing down. I'm looking around the disaster area that is my room after a couple of the piles of random junk toppled over... Thankfully my book towers didn't go down this time, especially since they almost killed me last time (I'm not kidding about that).

I'm sitting here surrounded by...

Absolutely nothing wrong with that! All those things that may look childish to someone make you happy, inspire you and are generally a part of who you are. And heck, you are pretty awesome. Keep it up, mister. ;)
baalseraph:
This is actually quite normal. I'm surrounded by video games, consoles, comics and tons of merch, and I'm nearing my 40th birthday (okay, two and a half years, but that's close enough). As long as it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, you're doing it right. :)

I seem to have written myself into a corner... I know where the story needs to go, but where I'm at I just don't know how to get there.

libris:
I hate that!  Try out some different scenarios to see which one feel right.
wolfwood1203:
@libris I'm working my way through it, slowly but surely.

So today we discovered that the air conditioner was leaking into the house. It's 90-100 °F in this hell hole of a city, so having to turn off the air was the first shitty event of the day. Next, as I'm mopping up the mess, I put my hand on the light switch and it burned the crap out of my hand. It...

@baalseraph Thankfully no, I wasn't hurt. It's just lucky I was in the area trying to clean up after the leak. Otherwise we might not have caught it in time.

Wow!  That was frightening!  I'm glad everything turned out ok!

TV and internet were down for a couple days again. This is being fucking old. Damn at&t needs to get their shit together because both times it was their equipment (not anything to to with the house) that was fucked up. This is beginning to severely piss me off.

@baalseraph I don't know. I didn't deal with them this time.

Ughhhhh, so annoying!
