Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a great movie, even if Willy was a little mean spirited. I can't say I blame you for not giving the show a chance. Between being a 'cash in' on doctor and 'C.S.I' type shows, the commercials don't do the show justice. I didn't even give it a chance. I just happened to catch a few episodes and fell in love. (I just leave my tv on all the time. I like the background noise and lights.)
The show, as the commercials would give away, is pretty much the same thing every week. Some crazy medical problem that no one but Dr. House can figure out. But, what the show is really about is House himself. The background is just a cinematic stick-figure to host the deep and colorful character of Dr. Gregory House. He's cynical, rude, cold...just a general bad guy really. Like, one time, he resuscitated a DNR patient. So, they put a restraining order on House so he couldn't touch the patient any more. Well, House hates doing clinic time (helping walk in patients) so he has the patient moved into the clinic. Since House isn't allowed with in 50 ft. of the guy, he can't do clinic work.
He even has the nerve to come up the elevator and yell, from inside it, at people he needs to talk to that are in the clinic.
I could go on and on. To sum it up, its a show about a very funny and cynical guy, but who has a pretty sad past. Oh, and did I mention he's a drug addict and avid fan of soap operas? Haha.
Gaahl has done a lot of things, but this time he's in jail for "ritually attacking" some 41 year old guy and "dranking his blood". Where did you hear that about his bandmate? That's news to me.
You wanna know what's really funny. I actually think tattoos and piercings are a turn off.
