I'm leaving the ladies behind me. Because their smiles are lovely and inviting, but they are not for me.

I'm slowly fading away,

Violet becoming blue.

Then growing black.

Until only my smile remains.

Love to you all, it has been fun.

Via con Dios, amigos.

Update for those who care; the fates say that I'm going to Iraq, for glory or for death.

As the radio plays:

Blues For Allah
By; The Grateful Dead

Arabian wind, The needle's eye is thin, The ships of state sail on mirage,
And drown in sand, Out in no-man's land where Allah does command.

What good is spilling blood? It will not grow a...

Joe and John were identical twins. Joe owned an old dilapidated boat and kept pretty much to himself. One day, he rented out his boat to a group of out-of-towners who sank it. Joe spent all day trying to salvage as much stuff as he could and was out of touch all that day and most of the evening. Unbeknownst to him, John's wife died...

Pi is a movie about numerology that tries to make itself seem like it's based on mathematics and gives people like me a bad name. I still liked it, though.

A little girl asked her mother, "Can I go outside and play with the boys?" Her mother replied, "No, you can't play with the boys, they're too rough." The little girl thought about it for a few moments and asked, "If I can find a smooth one, can I play with him?"

I know the name of my devil.

Although she has tried to disguise herself as the memory of a woman that I once adored.

I know her name is Discontent

Her minions are Doubt and Insecurity.

Get thee behind me, devil.

...and kiss my ass while you're back there...

I choose.

Many little ones are freakish. Min Pins typically don't seem like old dogs for a while. My oldest pins is around 12 and he has tons of energy but I can tell it doesn't last as long. Bronson, the dobe, was pretty laid back most of his life. Minus the squirrel chasing and toy playing. He was never freakish much. Cautious, but not freakish. No, I take that back, he really hated thunder and the beeping of the smoke detector. He wouldn't climb the walls but he would sit on my foot and lean. So I guess that isn't freakish, but it was for him.

Old dogs are the best for sure.

Yes, it is late, or early. I have a pack of dogs to let out. Seems they are ready for that and sleep as well.

I will be around.

Goodnight.

How wonderful it is to be a man.
To feel the power of everything
I am.
The humility of everything
I am not.
This body, with all of its flaws, is powerful.
My senses are sharp.
My mind is clear.
Yet I can be so undone by a woman.
Just a look,
A glance,
The scent of her perfume,
and I melt.
I am hers....

Thanks so much. I will pass that along to him. I am very lucky to have a dad so perfect. I just wish I could learn his patience. It's seemingly impossible.

Think just maybe I'm a daddy's girl? wink

I see my Grandmother, asleep in her chair,
After years of toil, a moments peace.

A faint smile lifts the corner of her mouth,
and colours her cheek,
As she dreams of my Grandfather, or her family,
Or what ever things an old woman may dream of.

First Sound Waves Left Imprint on the Universe

SAN DIEGO -- The early universe rang with the sound of countless cosmic bells, which filled the primordial darkness with ripples like the surface of a pond pounded by stones. The wave fronts later served as spawning grounds for...
