Hey you should pop back once in a while, I miss having interesting journal entries to read!

I haven't really been on here long enough to know the "rules" of it either. But I couldn't see why debate would be frowned upon. How can you really have much discussion about anything if everyone's just sitting around agreeing with everything everyone else says because they're not free to voice their opinions? As long as it's a well stated, thought out opinion and not just senseless bashing of someone else, it should be fine. There's debate, and then there's being rude. If you can contest anothers opinon, or state your own without calling them fucking useless or something like that, there should be nothing wrong with that. Also, debate is really good because it can get other people to see an issue better by them learning new things they had never considered before, or it can also get people who don't agree with one side of an issue to at least understand where others are coming from. I've had plenty of debates with people that have resulted in these things. It's learning, sharing knowledge and perspective, and understanding.

It's sad that you're leaving so soon. I hope everything goes well and you have an awesome time while you're away. I can't wait to hear the update when you get back.

I just responded to two of your comments in the artists group. Both of them are about your desire to be critiqued, but one of them talks a little bit about appropriation and other artists too...

Anyway I thought I would bring this to your journal to add a more personal flare to it.

I will be more then happy to critique you if that is what YOU want. I am more then willing to step on your toes, pick you back up, tell you strengths, and weeknesses, and offer you general advice. Critique and discussion are what make good artists, and it is really needed in that group. You have to promise me though that you have a thick skin, or else I wont participate. The last thing I want is to get zotted from this site because I told someone there art needed more line use and it hurt their feelings...

Also if you do not feel like posting your work in that group, I will give you a personal critique, but I need to know what it is you do first! If you are a cartooner that draws piniup chicks with razorblade fingers I may not be the right person to ask. But if you are working in the realm of fine art holler!

Aye, aye. Your criteria seems strict by my standards.

I have the coolest idea ever, but it has to be outdoors and.. if you have the balls (figuratively speaking?!) to do it in the frigid month of December.. do let me know. it probably wouldn't work as well thematically as, like, summer would, but anyway, I think I'm a lot cooler than I actually am so I like the idea.

You and a camera. I'm thinking it's all good. But you want ideas.... Uhhhh chocolate ice cream. Gets me hot anyway.

when I read that I was like "but I thought anyone with points is in the SG Army, but now I think I know what you mean. As long as you get to be a super ninja assassin, then I think it's a good idea.

It's not too late. No matter what anyone tells you, you can get out scot free until after the first 90 days are up. You can tell them right now that you don't want to go and they can't do shit. They aren't going to send the police after you or some stupid shit like that. That's something the recruiters like to tell people, mainly because they don't really know any better and they think it works like that. Well, if you do decide to stay in, always know what your rights are and don't let someone tell you you can't do something for any reason. Except combat, because you don't really want to do that anyways.
