I know that where I'm from, animal cruelty charges come up quite often. I can't believe that the humain officer (our humain officers work with bylaw and the police) would reccomend you do something and then the police department would find it illegal. In my city, that kind of thing NEVER stands (for the owners) and this would have been a one day ordeal where humane, bylaw, and police would have come out, the owners would have been charged, the dog would have been taken away, treated, and given to the SPCA (not pound) for adoption, and the owners charged with animal cruelty, and grimes would have appeared on the local news the next day as a hero.

Some places are just fucked up.

I just finished watching the Tonight Show for today, September 11. And at the end they had the "SInging Policeman," Daniel Rodriguez, sing "Amazing Grace." He was a NYC cop who was there that day, and since then he has been singing at memorials and such.
