Hey there SG friends!

Sorry for the delay between blogs, but having depression and being unemployed I don't have too much to write about...

Sertraline seems to be helping my anxiety/depression and I'm due to go back to the doctor on Wednesday for a review on my progress. Still no news about therapy, but I still have 2 months left on the...

Howdy Ho SG friends,

As always, a big thanks to those kind souls who left comments on my last blog. It's nice to know people read my blogs, even though I rarely have anything interesting to blog about.

As promised, this blog is going to be more positive than the last one and as you can guess from the title of this blog, I...

Unemployed

Hey SG lovers,

A quick update on my job situation since the last blog...

I was called in for a meeting regarding my future at work, since I've been off for the past 8 months. My employer was wondering if and when I might be returning to work, and I explained that I had no idea because at the moment I can't cope...

oh i am sorry to hear about your situation. but i definitely understand what you mean. after school i was not able to work, because of the car crush and i was home without money support and i was not able to do anything. then i found job and had another injury and was home for almost two months and felt so bad because of it. anyway, if you have panic attacks and anxiety feelings, being a receptionist is not such a good option (i used to be receptionist/assistant before). maybe you could try to found some work, where you could work alone by your own (if you have problem with contact with people etc). try something you could do on computer, or try to work at some e-shop (you could for example send people stuff, collect orders etc). fingers crossed for you. its hard to found any job these days

aristophanes:

That sucks, but good for you for knowing when it was time to quit (some folks would totally just hold out endlessly, making things hard on the business.) Maybe you can find a work at home kind of job?

I'm back!!

Howdy everyone in SG Land!

After a few months absence, thinking my subscription had run out and deciding not to renew it... I realised that I really missed you all and I decided to return to SG. I wondered about how to resubscribe and wondered if I would have to make a new account, but it turns out I didn't need to do any...

Welcome back! I've been well. I haven't been on SG much since they changed the site. I've definitely missed talking to my friends here.

Glad to have ya back!  Hopefully the therapy helps out once you can get it.  And hopefully the tram works for ya, I know it does for me.

Hello everyone,

As always, a big thanks to those kind souls who left comments and support on the last blog.

So, I had written out a pretty long blog about how I've been doing, and how depressed I am, but this site decided to spare you that and decided not to post the blog after all. I tried resending it, but it kept failing...

Hey there!

As always, a big thanks first of all to those kind enough to leave supportive comments on the last blog, it's appreciated so much.

I see there's a lot of discussion over the merits of the new site. I agree that it's feels more brash and bright, and at the same time it's managed to kill the sense of...

Hope you figure out what you fancy to study :) You'll find something you enjoy, and that's the whole point, isn't it? :) I'm good at eating baked goods! That's not the same as baking, though, hee! I'm seeing more folks over on Facebook now, it's still a bit quiet here so I find myself elsewhere and out in the big bad real world ;)

aristophanes:

I understand the site redesign was made with cell phones in mind (I wasn't able to log in for over 2 weeks and when I complained to tech support, I was asked what kind of phone I was using to access.) This doesn't really lend itself to a mentality of writing long blog or forum posts, I think; which is going to probably have an adverse effect on the nerd culture that the site was originally cultivating.

As always, a big thanks to those of you kind enough to leave supportive comments on the last blog. I really appreciate your continued support through this.

It's been a few weeks since my last blog, because I haven't really felt like blogging much lately, and also because my situation hasn't changed yet. You must be getting fed...

I do Queen... I want to live forever. Well... at least in the way that was the movie for which that album was the soundtrack. Sans the other guys trying to kill me anyhow.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Wasn't there some story that for Under Pressure, they had David Bowie in one studio, doing his thing and Freddie Mercury in another... and they were pretty much doing the same song without even knowing it? Or something like that...

It's funny, seeing some of those songs reminded me of this:

I'm glad to hear about the acupuncture working out better for you. I hope it actually works in the long run for you as well.

It's funny, I was prescribed Ambien once and I was fucking immune to it. Throughout one night, I burned through a fistful's worth of them (Like nine or ten) and still was wide awake. I then read six months later that THAT was a contributing factor in what killed Heath Ledger. Yea, that led to a real "Oh shiiiiit..." moment.
