The past week or two has been another period of doin' very little. However, there have been a few things of note. First up was the exam which I had about half an hour ago. Whilst I didn't completely smoke it like I did the last one, I still think it went relatively well i.e. I actually managed to answer most of the questions. So...

I've just been getting into Sir Richard lately...I've heard his name floated around for years but I only recently got to listen to him. Great stuff. Have you seen the live videos of him on stage6.com? There are some good Boris shows on there too.

Once again, I've been away for a while and, once again, I have not really done anything noteworthy. First up, I'd like to say thank you to all who sent kind words for Emma, they were much appreciated and if you weren't on my Christmas card list already, you sure as hell are now.

I've actually been up to very little outside of uni, although...

He's one of the founding memebers of the UI juggling club. The practice twice a week. Also, they're called the Juggalos.

Green with envy. Again. How much of a kick in the face was it when it was revealed that Derek Roddy was going to be joining Today is the Day? Rock. How was Earth? I'm liking the photos you've posted so far.

I'm not sure how much longer. Maybe summer. One Florida summer's enough, you know? And yes, Postal Service is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. The song "This Place is a Prison" was the one I had in mind when I wrote that.

Have a good one man. smile

Okay, it's been slightly longer than I thought since I last updated so apologies are due. Sorry. First thing's first though, a very belated merry Chrimbo and happy New Year to you all. Now, a follow-up to my last entry.

Basically, just before I wrote that Emma's doctor had told us that he thought she had ME, which would put her out of action, uni-wise,...

Brainstorming, seriously? Holy shit I'm sorry I'm sharing the same air with some people.

Okay, once again it's been too long since an update but my life is...complicated at the moment. Long story short is that Emma's health has continued to go downhill, but for the past couple of days she's been slightly better. For now, I'm just gonna leave you with some more photos. I'll put up a proper entry once I feel like talking a bit more....

Okay, it has been far far too long since I was on here, and I plan on rectifying the situation right about...now. I've been simultaneously really busy and really lazy as of late, which I know doesn't make sense but meh. I've settled in to my new flat in Glasgow very nicely, and I'm still loving the whole no commuting/no trying to find a place...

glad you checked it out. they're my favorite Chicago band hands down right now. i'll have much more music and pictures up soon - as soon as i weave some thread to tie them together. wink

and yeah - that Blut aus Nord record absolutely blew my mind when i heard it - it was a few years back, and it's sent me reeling in many directions as a result. i still like their albums after that one too, but it's really their masterpiece. i call it "Black Hole Metal". biggrin skull skull
omg_zombies:
I'll probably pick up "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep," it sounds pretty damn good. Thanks.

Okay, this is just a quick post to fill y'all in on what's happening. Budapest was absolutely wonderful. It's an incredible city, and every street seems to have some peculiar architectural feature to single it out from the rest. The people are positively bipolar, but they seemed like good people for the most part, even if everyone thought Emma and I were Hungarian or, in...

Apologies once again for the leave of absence, I hope y'all missed me. Things for me are going somewhat strangely. Bad news is basically that Emma may have glandular fever. We're currently waiting on the results from her blood tests coming back to find out exactly what's up, but in the interim I've been worrying about her far too much, which is probably pissing her...

that actually makes my uni. almost seem like a bastion of integrity.
almost. actually, their integrity isn't so much in question, as their beauracracy.

although I'm sure there's not much in it really.
hope Budapest is/was treating you well!

Excellent journal entry! Those both sound like amazing trips. "monuments to man's arrogance and stupidity," indeed. Prypiat was in an article on the front page a few weeks ago; don't know if you caught that or not.

As for me, having moved so many times in the last five years, I'd really just like to go visit one or two of the places I lived before I became so uprooted. I simply long for familiar places and good friends. I've had enough "newness" for now...

I remember this Rosemary Kennedy business. Came across it when I was debating have a lobotomy. Not really, but it makes for interesting conversation, no?

Do you have Facebook? MySpace? Or any form of messenger?

Time for another long overdue post where nothing has actually happened. Well, that's a lie as I finally got to see Napalm Death last night, which was damn outstanding. I had entirely forgotten just how long they've been going - 26 years! To basically create a genre and still be around after that length of time demands respect, no? All in all, a pretty good...

Nice. I've never been a huge fan of theirs, but I've always wanted to see them.

And yeah, at first I was alarmed and sympathetic, but I was trying not to lose my shit laughing by the end. I'll see you in hell! tongue

Heyas, people. First off, I'd like to say thank you for the birthday wishes and for the pressies. The day itself was pretty quiet, I just stayed in with Emma for the weekend and watched TV in bed. Sounds sad, but I'm pretty much happiest when I'm there. Oh, and Emma made me a birthday pavlova, which was incredibly sweet of her.

Apart from that,...

Wow, it's been a while since I last updated. Strangely enough, not much has happened as I'm a lazy bastard. The main thing to have occurred recently was that I visited Birmingham for the first time for the wonderful SuperSonic Festival. I caught some truly awesome bands, not least Tunng, Om and Sunn O))), as well as discovering some new and awesome artists like Shit...
