I find it funny when someone posts a picture of their cat or a blog about their cat and it gets no comments. Now I can be a bit of a "dick" I suppose (So I've been told) but it honestly just makes me chuckle a little. It makes me think I'm not alone in not giving a shit about others pets. Now don't get...

@blur_ Well I don't hear that often lol

It's not just that I don't give a shit. It's just not interesting. The end result is the same. No reaction.

So I have been teaching BB (as well as some nieces and nephews) to shoot when I am able to(the location I am in now prevents it some). She is getting alright at it, she is still a little hesitant with my larger pistols (which sucks for her as iuse nearly exclusively .45 for my pistols), except for my favorite. She likes that one a...

So people are perplexed by me at times. I got into a conversation the other day about how intelligence and and the view that violence is sometimes necessary seem strange to exist in the same person. To me it seems strange that they wouldn't exist together. An intelligent person should realize that violence is essential. To say it is not is to live in a...

I read a news story recently (well fairly recently, a couple weeks ago now) that said that the mental development of people had slowed. That people are no longer finished with brain development until she 25. At the time I didn't really see it. Looking back however and a few exchanges with 20-25 year olds (especially recently) this view has changed. At least it seems...

@arroia I think the article was speaking more of the psychological and physiological development of the brain not changes in views or opinions as those should change with new information. Who wouldn't be able to get along with you?  ;)| I've always at find the 1-5 stystem to be lacking precision, I usually don't go less than 1-10 but if it works for you I'm all for it
arroia:
Ah, that makes more sense. I almost said that they've invented hot water.

I doubt any of my danger or fun levels would be impressive if the scale was 1-10. Maybe my overeating levels, but that's about it. ;)

Does it seem to anyone else that a lot of posts recently are just advertisements for the site or products in the store?

(I don't know why it put this in the quoted box)

Let's make that the question of the day.

I truly enjoy when people describe and label themselves. It always makes me laugh. Especially when their actions contradict their descriptions and labels (as they nearly always do). People delusions and failure to accurately evaluate themselves is often the cause. Sometimes the delusions are due to stupidity, sometimes cowardice, sometimes vanity, sometimes it's a simple lack of testing hypotheses. I'm sure there are a few...

@trills my normal rule is laugh it off unless it effects me in some way| sometimes when I'm feeling ornery and feel like bringing it up I usually boil it down to one simple question that shakes the foundation I call it a "logic bomb" or sometimes depending on the size of it a "logic nuke" lol| fundamentalists usually require a different tactic, I don't mind being disrespectful to people who are disrespectful. With true fundamentalists there is a set belief that they will not waiver from no matter how much logic they face. So my usual response it "if heaven is full of people like you I'm glad I'm not going" out is slightly disrespectful but they take it as a win because most don't like "if" so they often remove it lol| however in the case I was talking about it is the original lie that suits the tellers ego.
yates_doom:
To search for an answer to why people misrepresent themselves is a waste. Motive can never be discovered, only speculated. Maybe what appears as misrepresentation, is simply an opinion based on a larger sample size than what you have access to. Everything is a choice. I choose to ignore fakes. Maybe people you have pointed this flaw out to needed it from you.

Oddly enough I'm not a big fan of his "main" group and like this project much better

This made me laugh really hard, glad this guy is getting his own show. He is awkward as Hell and his stand up is great.

Good day to you all

Most of you will not find this interesting so for those that don't want to read ramblings don't click the spoiler.

I find it interesting that the democrats are celebrating as though they won some victory. What victory was won, and who benefits from it other than their own fragile little egos?

What you've done with this "deal" has extended...

@sagit Oh I see,  I really dislike politics,  but some things are just so moronic it seems they should be talked about.

I have a very low tolerance for mental weakness (a trait which I personally attribute most of today's mental "illnesses"). It has been said that I am to hard on those type of people, and maybe that's true but I personally find it ridiculous, maybe it's just me.

People say dumbass things

"I'm looking for my other half"

Why would anyone want half a person?...

Well and succinctly said, 'bout wagons and humanity...

People say dumb things because they are perhaps a bit dumb, and this society is certainly more than a bit dumb.

Cold and crisp, good for hard cider, good for days of outside activity.

Movies. Any that does not spell out each plot detail, or bludgeon one with scenes intended to bring about emotional reaction.
