Good call about the freeze dried Scott. That certainly would have gotten their undivided attention.

Thanks for the iguana. I love the critters. I had seen quite a many in Costa Rica.

I LOVE Brigada!!!! If only I had them here in Chicago ...

Tips for the Derby:
1. Mint juleps aren't as good an idea as they sound, at least when they're made with Early Times and it's 9 a.m. But once you get the first one down they get easier.
2. Don't pick horses based on their names. You'll win a lot of laughs by betting on Showing Up and Sunshineandbeer, but not a lot of money.
3. Wearing fetish gear in the paddock really pisses off the rich people. biggrin

Assuming I learn Hebrew well enough, I will be able to make a career out of my knowledge of Russian and English (LOADS of russkies over there) and I will never ever have to strip again.

And I am a shiksa, actually. My husband is just a big Jew. wink

Indeed. That is why man invented God in the first place, because he simply could not wrap his mind around both the immensity and the intricacy, the sheer wonder of life. Man needs a God, a reason he can accept without comprehending, because it makes him feel safe in a big unknown universe.

Yeah, apartments in Moscow are getting crazy, but if you look on the internet of course you're going to pay five times what it's worth. You just need to walk around the streets and look at the obyavleniya.

Actually, it's changed a lot from that time. Generally now, the prices offered on the net are what you have to pay. It's gone through the roof.
